BWW Announces End-of-Year Poetry Celebration

To celebrate the end of a successful and innovative 2020, BWW is throwing a party, and everyone is invited.

The pandemic has presented unique challenges for Vermont’s premier grassroots literary collaborative, but we have adapted and thrived in virtual Zoom workshops, drawing new members from far beyond the mountains of Vermont. Workshop leaders report new attendees from coast to coast and around the world including Japan and Nepal.

We invite you to join with members in a very special end-of-year evening of live poetry that will feature a talented lineup of BWW poets reading original pieces. The event will be headlined by celebrated New England poet Cynthia Brackett-Vincent. A Pushcart Prize nominated and award-winning poet, Cynthia has had over 100 poems published in such journals as Avocet, Yankee Magazine, and Ibbetson Street; in her chapbook, The 95 Poems; and the online journals, Mannequin Envy, The Orange Room Review, Pirene’s Fountain and others.

“Cynthia is a strong and vital voice for literary New England”, says Max Roland Ekstrom, Vermont poet and BWW workshop leader. “Joining our voices with hers will be a celebration of BWW’s unique and special mission.”

The event occurs Wednesday, December 30, from 7:30 – 9 PM.

The poet’s slots are now filled with 11 BWW poets interested in reading. Audience attendance details are available at the BWW Meetup event listing below. A $5 contribution to BWW is encouraged for all attendees.
