BWW Annual Meeting

BWW members, please come and elect BWW leaders, vote on the budget, and think about what talents and contributions you can offer to keep this organization fresh and vital in your writing life.

Why it’s important for you to attend this BWW Annual Meeting:
Votes taken and leaders chosen at this meeting will likely have major impacts on how BWW moves forward in the coming year.
We need increased income to cover our activity expenses in 2020 (rent, insurance, utilities, bookkeeping service). That income can come from member donations, grants (which take work and luck to obtain), and lots of volunteer work to help us succeed in operating our organization with an all-volunteer staff (no paid employees).
*****Please nominate or second nominations of BWW people you would like to have on the Leadership Team/Board via the Comments section lower on this page. Only one nomination and second needed per proposed candidate, but you can nominate more than one person.
*****Please sign up to attend the meeting.

Draft Agenda (which may be revised later):

1. Report from the Finance Committee: 2020 Cash Flow Projection and 2020 Proposed Budget. Vote to approve budget as presented or modified.

2. Proposal that a Leadership Team be elected, meet regularly at meetings open to anyone, and make all decisions and delegate tasks to volunteers and Committees. The Leadership Team would elect Board officers required by Vermont law from among its members. (This proposal will be voted on by participants at the 9/15 meeting.)

3. Vote on Bylaw changes. If the Proposal above is approved, some BWW Bylaw changes may need to be approved by a vote to permit the changes.

4. Nominate, second, and elect a minimum of three and preferably at least seven willing people, whether present or not, to serve on the Leadership Team.
