It’s junk food week at the BWW. I’ll be bringing cookies, Chex Mix, and even halavah (if I can find it) to various workshops this week. You might want to ride your bike to the workshop this week to counteract the calorie blitz!
Cynthia Close will take over BWW duties for two weeks starting today. Here are the opportunities and announcements for the week.
Anyone want to go to Bookstock in Woodstock on Saturday, July 26th? Martin Bock is leaving from Studio 266 at 6:30 a.m. on that day and will spend the day there, working the BWW table. You may also want to help Martin with the table. He has two seats available, so if you’re interested, please contact us.
Many of the writing opportunities from last week still apply this week, including the Vermont Stage Company call for submissions, so please take a look at last week’s opportunities and send in your work!
Bluebird Barbecue is hosting a community night for the BWW on Wednesday, September 10th. On that night, 10% of all the sales (including drinks) will be donated to the BWW. Bring your family, friends, neighbors—bring anyone! It’ll be a good time, and you’ll help us fund the BWW.
You may have heard that we won a Vermont Community Foundation Grant for our StoryhackVT Digital Storytelling workshops. It’s kind of a big deal. Check out the details here.
Martin Bock is now keeping the BWW writing center open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, so stop by and check out Burlington’s public writing center during those hours if you’re curious about what we do here.
Michael Freed-Thall has spear-headed the BWW t-shirt project and we’ve almost got an order form ready. Stay tuned for details.
